i found some higher res versions out there, popped one into photoshop, enhanced it a little bit, and it appears to me to be something in the reflection on her high gloss polish that is obscuring the light source (i.e flash or set light,) most likely the photographer himself. but based on what i could see and after finding the full set and having a gawk at it i can't find any reason to to think her big nail is two separate parts, whether its all fake or all real its definitely one piece.

Looks like 2 pieces to me, which is the main reason it's a complete fail/ disaster for me. I cannot accept it, call me a nail purist. I guess the pressure of maintaining them at super long lengths makes some take short cuts. Although I like slightly longer than average and can tolerate some length, at a certain point it gets too bizarre and in any case plastering on a fake or plastic either over the entire bed or at the end is just a level of fakery I can't handle. Other people may differ. So it's not really just the length, as I can handle Indian and Pakistani women who culturally often go longer than normal, but rather and plastic extensions on the sacred equipment, the toe nail beds!!!
